UFL: Kaya, Archers wins; Global keeps second seed

The LBC United Football League fixtures for the day complemented the scorching heat of the sun as it provided action-packed matches last May 15 at the University of Makati Football Stadium.
The intensity of the Air Force Rider and Kaya Cignal FC match was felt towards the end of the match. A last minute header by skipper Aly Borremeo gave the Air Force its first lost of the season. Kaya missed several of its players, while Ian Araneta of Air Force was not present at the game. "[It] feels good coming from los[ing and] finishing strong by defeating Air Force," said Borromeo.
Meanwhile, the match of Global Smartmatic and Army Fritz and Macziol IBM became very physical, especially in the second half of the match.
A collission in the corner of Jhonny Dalman and Eduardo Gempisaw caused commotion and complaints from the coaching staff of Army. However, a member of the audience heckled to the coaching staff, but it was averted immediately. Meanwhile, another commotion happened when Wilson dela Cruz and Oguejiofor Cusmas had a confrontion. However, Badrelin El-Habbib who, was substituted midway in to the match, was sent of by the referee for complaining.
A red card was issued to Luisitro Brillantes of Army for excessive contact (to a point afar seeing kicking) with Jerry Barbaso. Army captain Roel Gener scored in the 82nd minute, and to his jubilation, he did a couple of backflips afterwards. Five minutes later, Izzo El-Habbib equalized that ended the match with a draw. Global was able to keep the second seed, however, they were unable to capitalize the loss of Air Force.
In the final fixture, Christian "Tating" Pasilan's two-peat goals in the first half gave the Green Archers United Orient Freight its much needed peak, as they defeated Navy FC, 2-nil. This win puts the Archers back on the fifth slot, but the Loyola Meralco Sparks will face Army on Wednesday could still regain the slot.
Change of Goal Scorers
The games today also changed top goalscorers for the season. Izzo El-Habbib is now on a four-way tie with his teammate Misagh Bahadoran,Air Force Rider captain Yanti Bersales and forward Ian Araneta, with seven goals apiece. Furthermore, Pasilan is now on the solo fifth slot (or next to the top four), with five goals. Following him is skipper Aly Borromeo of Kaya Cignal with four goals, tying with Surgent Montillano of Air Force.
