LOYAL fans can have an experience of a lifetime and be in the dugout with the Philippine national football team for the on July 3 for the World Cup Qualifiers at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
That is if they can afford it.
The Azkals, in its effort to promote nation-building, is supporting the United Nations Children’s Fund activity called Auction for Action for the benefit of children’s programs in the Philippines and the world.
Aside from meeting the players, they will also have a good view of the match against Sri Lanka as exclusive seats will be reserved for them. A football kit signed by the Azkals awaits the top two highest bidders.
Unicef Philippines launched its first fundraising online auction last May 25, which features contemporary works of artists from different fields in art, design, furniture, fashion, jewelry and photography for bidding.
Aside from the Azkals dugout experience, another experiential package includes a dinner prepared Chef Tonyboy Escalante of Antonio’s.
The auction, which will be done at www.ebay.ph/unicef, is set to close on Saturday at 4 p.m. and organizers are expecting bidding to peak on closing day.
From its starting value of P4,000, the highest bid at press time has reached P11,161.
Winners will be known right after the cut-off period and will be notified through e-mail for instructions in claiming their prize.
This is the first time for the national team to sponsor Unicef projects.
