Global Smartmatic pressured to beat Navy

Chasing for the title at this time of the season is a big pressure for Dan Palami’s squad. Global Smartmatic need nothing but victory in their weekend match against Navy FC.
The game sees Global, eight points behind Air Force with 2 games in hand, able to close the gap at the top of the league before games against Green Archers and Army on the 11th and 15th of May. But if Navy managed to get a draw or even a win, the title will be on Air Force’s advantage.
Picking up all three points this Sunday is in the convenience of Global as Navy has not won a single match this season against their opponents. Beating them would be a normal result for Global but a draw or even a loss would be a big upset.
Global should be aware of the magnitude of Sunday’s game. A win would give them a chance to win the league but a loss could be disastrous on their title challenge.
As of the moment, Global Smartmatic holds the Second Division and Cup Champion trophy. Winning the league this season racks up their tally to three. Will they be able to do that?
