MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Azkals will test their mettle against 4 German teams in their preparation for their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sri Lanka.
The Azkals will face the German football squads in 4 separate tune-up games during their 2-week training camp in Duren, Germany.
The Nationals will first play against the Duren selection team on June 15, followed by a tune-up game against an Under-19 squad from Bern on June 17.
Five days later, the Azkals will go up against FC Ingolstadt (German 2nd Division).
Their last friendly game will be against Darmstadt Achtung 98 (German 3rd Division) on June 24.
The team will depart for Germany on June 11, Saturday.
Philippine Azkals will play 2 World Cup qualifying games against Sri Lanka.
The first leg of the qualifier will take place on June 9 at the 25,000-seater Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The second leg will take place at Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on July 3. Source
